Life Updates: Real Estate, Retail, and a Dash of Chaos
Hey everyone! Grab your favorite bevvy and settle in because I've got some fun updates to share from my whirlwind life lately. Spoiler alert: I may or may not have resorted to caffeine and questionable snack choices to keep up!
First off, let’s talk real estate. I recently found an amazing team to work with—seriously, these folks are the dream team of property transactions. The Shannon McCarthy Team is like The Avengers but for houses. In the past two weeks, I've snagged two deals! I’m starting to think I might have a hidden talent for negotiating like a pro. Who knew that my years of haggling for the best home decor deal would translate so smoothly into real estate? And guess what? I’ve got a listing hitting the market soon, so stay tuned! If you know anyone looking for their dream home, I’m officially the “House Whisperer.” (That’s my new title, by the way.)
On the retail front, I’m super excited to announce that “Mainly House Stuff” is officially open in Mayfield and online for everyone to shop! 🎉 Think of it as the magical land of home décor where your living room dreams come to life. I’ve spent countless hours curating the perfect items to make your space feel like a cozy haven. And just when you think it couldn’t get any better—next month, we’ll be rolling out clothing options! Yes, you heard that right. Now you can snag a fabulous throw pillow and a trendy outfit in one shopping trip. Who doesn’t love multitasking?
Now, let’s shift gears and address the elephant in the room—my name change. You might’ve noticed that I’ve been going by “Vanessa” lately. Funny story: my parents almost named me Vanessa before landing on Yadira, and growing up, I hated my name because it was mispronounced more times than I can count. Seriously, I could’ve written a thesis on “The Many Ways to Mispronounce Yadira.” To cope, I told everyone to call me Vanessa, and to this day, I would introduce myself as Vanessa in social situations.
So, when I dove into the real estate world, those old feelings of name frustration bubbled up like a bad soda. It was time for a change! So, I legally changed my name to Vanessa Yadira, and let me tell you, it feels like I’m finally embracing my true self. It’s like I’ve leveled up in a video game—bonus points for personality!
Let's talk about the girls. They’ve been keeping me busier than a squirrel at a nut convention with their sports activities. From soccer practices to basketball games, my calendar is a colorful mess of events. I thought I was skilled at juggling work and home life, but it turns out I’m more like a circus clown trying to keep all the balls in the air. DIY projects have been sadly neglected, and my dream of becoming a Pinterest queen is slowly slipping away. Who knew that drills and hammers could be replaced by game schedules and snack runs? But hey, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Watching them play and grow is truly the highlight of my day, even if it means I’m sporting a permanent “sport mom” look—sweatpants and a paint-stained tee.
This new chapter of my life has been nothing short of exciting. Sure, it can get a little chaotic at times, but there’s a certain charm to it all. I’ve learned to embrace the mess, both literally and figuratively. Life may be throwing curveballs, but I’m here for it, armed with my new team, some stylish home decor, and a heart full of joy.
So there you have it—my life in a nutshell. If you need me, I’ll be balancing contracts, shipping orders, and possibly trying to remember where I parked the car at the last soccer game. If you have any tips on how to jugge all of this, send them my way! Until next time, keep laughing, keep creating, and remember: life is too short for boring decor!
